Are there any common sense 'deletes' for E30s?

I know Mr Moooore is rightly very defensive of BM's engineering and common sense on the E30, but are there any bits and pieces that can actually be removed to improve things?
For eg on the M42 there is a lot of piping mess under the inlet side that can be done away with, and other stuff around the throttle body heater etc. The black/red central locking mod also springs to mind (although not technically a 'delete').
Are there any other general E30 'deletes' that can be done easily?

Two headblenders, couple of bags of MC Hammer, 5 litres of FFF, a 48ft bastard, a box of jumped-up custard and some soggy chimps

M20 throttle body heater pipework can be bypassed with a single length of pipe from the back of the block to the 'stat housing
Prop vibration damper can be removed with no ill effects
Non return valves for the washer jets can be removed with no significant ill effects
Breather pipework from the fuel tank to the front of the car on later cars can be removed as per pre-facelift models

If you're renewing the big convoluted air inlet pipe on a 325, get one for a late version, which doesn't have the branch for the brake servo plumbing. The servo pipework and valve can then be changed for just a single pipe and simple valve, like on the M40, making access to and removal of the throttle body/ TPS/ inlet manifold, etc. much easier.
Fuel vapour carbon canister can go on any BMW with emissions equipment, to make more room under the bonnet.

Both my E30s currently have Cats. with the carbon canister, does that mean this is useless?

It contains the tiny amount of petrol vapour that flows from the fuel tank vent pipe from causing 'pollution', but in a world that allows filthy diseasal engines to be used within twenty miles of human life, I have no trouble with my conscience in removing it on E30s, or later models. It's not included in the MOT test.TPS wrote:Both my E30s currently have Cats. with the carbon canister, does that mean this is useless?

Mudflaps, or rust traps.
Also, on L-Jetronic models, removing the spring-loaded centrifugal rev limiter from the rotor arm eliminates the brutal 6,000 rpm cut off; the ECU in any case has a built in 6,250 rpm limiter with a far more progressive cutting of the power.

^ and the simple solid rotor arms are about £2 compared to £15 for a centrifugal one.
