Its an E30 at the end of the day Paul, they look good in all styles, I've owned Tourings, 2-doors, Moredoors & Cabby's, personally I prefer a Touring over a Moredoor, due to practicality, I can pick up furniture, do tip runs, I even delivered M20 lumps with mine!The_Diddler wrote:Its all down to personal choice, for me any E30 is a good choice, it could be a highly sort after 4 door 320 auto (well at least they were sort after........ by granny's in 1985) ........ or a lowly 2 door 325 ( erm thinks BMW HQ how do we get rid of all these 2 door 325's nobody wants in the UK....... ok lets morsel them up with crap out the parts bin and call them Sports that'll work) sport.
It whatever works for you and what you want and nobody else.

i would beg to differ with you there, im known for saying what i think. and i do not slate other peoples cars at all. i like e30's in all variations, they are all e30's at the end of the day. but i personally 'chose' to buy a 4 door as i have a child to carry in the back. i have had a 2 door and a 4 door previously and this time i ''wanted'' a 4 so howe about gett5in ya facts straight yes??!!!this man is a special one by what ive read, all he seems to do is slate other peoples cars. I bet he wouldnt be so open about his views in person
im just laughin at the foolishness of this comment.!!!ooh ooh ooh! shitbox/moredoor/skint e30 owner section is right up my alley. definatly gets my vote for that section
basically this.!Its an E30 at the end of the day Paul, they look good in all styles

how original pete, bloody genius, it would be an english man who could say such a derogitory comment. i could get a few sheep in the boot of my saloon... room for atleast 2 humans alsoYou can get a lot more sheep into a touring than a 4 door ! E30-dk goes off to look for a touring
anyway to put another spin on things, by next year my ''shitty little mooredoor'' will be s54 powered. but i suppose to the e30zone massive it would still be shite. only to the completly delusional

Ant why wouldn't a drift/skint E30 section be any good? that way those that want to discuss that kind of thing can and those that don't like it can stay away?
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

I've thrown 4 grand at my e30 in the last 3 years. I did the m52 conversion nearly 2 years ago now and she's been a daily driver since. She will be a garage queen from january as the m52 setup is sold in favour of s54, new paint, powder coated everything, new suspension ect ect.... But even once rebuilt, I won't be afraid to use her, she's a car after all.
Sorry to shanehayward, I missread the angle of attack on his initial comment.... It wasn't aimed at me so my bad there lol

God knows how much money, I've thrown at E30s over the years, I wouldn't like to frighten myself knowing.e30-dk wrote:I've thrown 4 grand at my e30 in the last 3 years. I did the m52 conversion nearly 2 years ago now and she's been a daily driver since.

That is exactly my point though? YOU have spent loads, well done but not everyone does? At the end of the day there are a lot of E30's in the cheap banger territory that just appeal to the drifters/rat look type and fair play as the cars they use are generally borderline scrap anyway.TPS wrote:God knows how much money, I've thrown at E30s over the years, I wouldn't like to frighten myself knowing.e30-dk wrote:I've thrown 4 grand at my e30 in the last 3 years. Why can't they be encouraged to share their cars/opinions/techniques and at the same time buy my parts from the for sale section without being chased off because they haven't spent 4 grand on their cars? If you have a few grand to chuck at an E30 you would look for a better shell than say a 'trampdrifter' would, you would be stupid not to.
I think the zone needs a budget motoring section for those that keep rusty scrap MOT'd in the name of not conforming to standard society views of 3 year old euro bland-boxes on Hire-purchase....
Even if nobody agrees with that you will never stop the die-harders who just want to get out and drive/drift/cruise (delete as appropriate) because the beauty of it is we don't all have the same views
Just my 2 penneth obviously and it doesn't stop me chuckling at Pacerpete's humour

Amen, Running a snotter (like that touring you had) is all part of the fun man, we all know it... Having to explain to your passengers why bits have fallen off or something doesn't work properly, but at least your not paying £300 odd quid a month to own/drive it before you even turn the keyKedge wrote:I guess to some people are only interested in garage queens and look down on the snotters we like to keep running!Duke137 wrote:Ant why wouldn't a drift/skint E30 section be any good? that way those that want to discuss that kind of thing can and those that don't like it can stay away?
