is there anything else apart from the timing belt cover plate that i need as the pipe which goes across the front requires bolt holes,

i beleive il also have an issue with the radiator?

ive got one with an expansion tank built in, which fitted my m40 but i beleive was for an e36 1.6,

Basically the metal pipe which bolts on to the timing cover wont hook on to the lower rad outlet, dont know how it will hook on to the stat housing..

do i need to make my own rad pipe? i have a couple of spare pipes is it cool if i cut them down with a hacksaw and make it fit, i obviously need one with a bend?

Would be helfpul to know what engine this is for!?!

I'm going to assume M20!

You'll need the upper timing cover, facelift water pump and all the facelift water pipes. I also found that I needed to replace pipe #7 with pipe #10 as well to fit the E36 rad as #7 wasn't long enough.

you need two 10. There might be other pipes out there that fit better but that's the best one I've had to hand.

Nice one did you just custom a shroud to fit as well?

I've not used a shroud, don't think there's anything you can use.

One last issue hopefully, the hose that connects to the Bottom hole on the rad the expansion tank did you obv just use the original T pipe and just bend It to fit the expansion tank?

also the pas pump tensioner seems to be slightly touching the bottom of the pipe?

Is that cool?

I've been spending ages routing pipes wires and fuel lines so
They don't touch one another or chafe,

This is one issue I've got, only fired my car up for the first time at the weekend so still working a few bits out myself. I'm running E28 M5 mounts so it's even worse for me.

How have you mounted the rad? Is the car facelift or prefacelift? You need some spacers under the prefacelift rubber mounts to raise them up and therefore raising the rad up which should then help clear the pulley. Not sure what you do on a facelift car.

yeah im new to the engine swaps and modding so a bit difficult to say, i dont like bodging stuff and like it to look nice and clean,

its a facelift, so ive had issues with the airbox etc as well as ive pulled the donk out a 86

with that pipe ive basically twisted it slightly so its upward ran it against the chassis rail where ive cable tied it and put one of those fabric thingys where it protects wires etc against the sharp edges

its not touching the pulleys or alternator allthough it is close its secure and wont move as ive tied it the length, for extra analness ive got a thicker pipe and put it over where it touches the pas tensioner and just taped it up so it should be good

with that no 10 pipe i tried it as well it didnt fit, i cant remember what i used but it was an L shaped pipe off a pre-facelift i cut it down and it fitted perfectly no strain or anything,
