Hi Guys

This is going to sound silly, but a while back I fitted a rear load cover from a 325i Touring to my 316 Touring which had lost it's basic load cover. The replacement is the one with the integral net which fixes to the roof so it's quite a bit bigger but i used all correct fittings which came with it to fit it.

It dropped in place with a bit of wiggling but I've never been able to remove it! There's no way of releasing the 'blades' which fall into place and it's stuck fast.

Has anyone had a similar issue? Or can anyone advise what i'm missing because I'm sure it was designed to lift in and out like they do in the e36 / e34 / e39 models etc

Thanks!
Ben

Grab it with both hands and push the top to the front of the car then lift it out.

Grab it with both hands and twist the top down(towards the tailgate) and lift out.

I've got the same problem.. Have never been able to get the bugger out, I tried twisting all ways whilst pushing down, it feels like it almost comes out but then pops back into its housed position..
