Hey,
I'm having a bit of trouble with the seats on the 318is.
The passenger seat won't tilt forward and the drivers seat is leans slightly further back on the left hand side.
Has anyone got a fix for this?
Thanks
John

Take the backs off the seats (tilt/adjust the seats right over and unscrew two self tapping screws right at the bottom, then unclip the tops by lifting upwards), then look about 1/3 of the way up on each side of the edges of the insides of the seats, where you will find a large cross head screw.
If you are lucky, then these screws will be loose or have fallen out on your drivers seat, and can simply replaced/tightened, but if left unattended to, the seat frame cracks and will have to be stripped down and welded.
Not unusual or particularly difficult. Needs to be done though, as it is an MOT failure.
For your passenger seat, you will see cables inside the seat that work the tilt mechanism. This cable is probably brocken.
