While at the PBMW at Oulton Park recently, I noticed that a lot of the cars run the same type of single-tailpipe exhaust system with what seems to be a kind of steel brace/plate between the backbox and tail-pipe. Does anyone know what type of system this is and where to get hold of one?

Thanks,
Jim.

Hi Jim,
I believe that the Ashley/Milltek is the one to go for, lots of the M40 guys run Millteks with a single pipe aznd I think the other twin type is the Ashley...

A few of us have had a sports exhaust custom made by Klarius Exhausts, to fit the 320.

www.klarius.eu/
Doug Bentley (Mobile) 07967645522

If you are intrested in one give Doug Bentley a ring at Klarius.

Light weight, with a great sound. And noise tested at 96DB, So okay for trackdays.

Ours worked out at £230 including VAT.

No affiliation, and of course there are other substitutes

...oh, and the fit was spot on, every part required to install, and single chrome tailpipe

I second the Klarius exhaust...Got one on my car.
Not sure if you can get the Miltek anymore , as the PBMW,s got theres a few years ago.
Some are using the Ashley version, but i beleive you loose some back pressure with it.
The Klarius one has been tested on 2 cars on there dyno + they were very happy with the results.
And the fit was great , no messing about ....

I also run this system on my race car.
I can not fault it, it also sounds fantastic.

The Klarius one, is that for the whole exhaust with cat, or after cat? I need a new exhaust for my 325 bmwcup, (like pbmwc but in Sweden) everything after header (must be standard in my class)

It the FULL exhaust from downpipe back, "not including downpipe". NO cat needed.

Ah ok, a cat is a requirement for all racing (i think) over here, still a great price for a complete exhaust thats built for racing.

Anyone got a pic of the Klarius exhaust? Are the tailpipes only available as a single tailpipe?

I have just enquired from Klarius about the exhaust and I can confirm that they are single tailpipe Which is 3 inch

For full system it costs 254.

Doug was saying that the system will give you 3-6 bhp increase and also can make it for road use by modifying the rear silencer.

could be a option :D
