Hi
Have you checked by taking of one of the fuel lines that the pump is sending the fuel. If it is not then it will be the in tank fuel pump which tend to be a problem with E30.

hihave you had a cam belt change recently? as i had one done on my old 320 and a 325 belt was put on it,which has one extra or less tooth, and this seemed to affect my starting quite a bit, just an idea. also, theres the cold start injector,is it leaking? pressure reg working ok?i'd get the fuel pressure checked. and check obvious stuff like dizzy cap rotor arm and leads etc...just becuase you can see a spark doesnt mean its strong enough to fire the motor up straight away, once the engines running the plugs will be forced to work, until then they could be lazy, good luck!

Mine tends to do that but here are a few pointers that might help.
1) Changing the AFM did nothing, except making me poorer
2) Changing the temp sensor helped - blue one I think
3) Cleaning the ICV didn't help but changing it has.
And most improtantly DONT TOUCH THE THROTTLE PEDDAL WHEN STARTING IT FROM COLD. If I do it immediatly floods.
Hope that this helps.
