Sorry no bare flesh here :D

Been doing some work for a customer, some of you may have seen the m30 cylinder head rebuild in the m30 section. The customer asked for some blast cleaning to be done on the engine aluminium parts. Sadly no before shots on these.

The media used was soda, to remove all the caked in cr4p/oil/gunk, followed by a go over with glass beads, which is what gives it the nice sheen.

Heres the hot bodies as promised :D

This was just done using soda only, it has a gentle action against aluminium and does not damage it, yet does a great job of removing the ingrained oil, and film. It is soluble so can be washed off and will not damage bearings or machined surfaces.

Great work mate, Kedge on here can get soda blasting done too, those parts look great!

Got a link to thread who they are for so I can have a nosey? I don't normally venture into the nautical section of the forum :)
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

I'm sure you understand about client confidentiality, not many people want others to know they are m30 powered, would you? :D

Hi Steve, the throttle bodies are OEM BMW :D

They are off the m88 engine, as for size, BIG, about 45mm. But bare in mind they are going on an m30.

I have stayed away from the current m20 throttle bodies discussion, but I may throw my 2 pence worth in :D

JWell if you know a fair bit about ITB'S & fitting, setting up on an M20 then your input would be great.

Just a shame the likes of turbo brown & geaffbob ain't on here as i'm sure they would be able to set the record straight regarding ITB'S on an M20??
