Having a opened the boot a couple of days ago I was greeted by a small pool of water in the left hand side pocket. After checking the the sunroof drain pipes and boot lid seal no avail I found the culprit, the seal for the vent behind the bumper. I've searched the internet but can't find the part anywhere and was wondering if a zoner could point me in the right direction.

Thanks Ben, I've got the facelift model but I presume they're the same. I can't see a part no. for item 9, the seal, which is what I need or does it come with the breather?

Cheers, It looks like I'll have to bookmark that site as it looks quite useful. Finally; Is it a BMW only part?

I have no idea. Looks like a fairly normal O-ring to me, but finding the right size might be tricky.

Why don't you ring your BMW dealer for a price? They are often quite reasonable.

I just gave them a ring, £2.83, isn't too bad I suppose.

Thanks for the help.

Did you look at the link?

It's called:
09 Gasket ring 2 64221922280

And if you quote the part number to the BMW dealer they will give you the price.

If you want to buy it you will have to say "I'll have one, please". Then you have to go to the dealer and give them some money.

If you need any more guidance, don't hesitate to ask.

I apologize, too.

I seem to be particularly grumpy this evening.
