Hello
Right I'm looking in to getting a new fuel pressure regulator and am looking at a eBay job one..
Also the one I'm looking at is adjustable so I'm wondering what pressure is the standard one and what pressure would be good to set it to
Thanks

What engine is it? IIRC, a 320 one won't work on a 325 lump.

Standard FPR pressures: 320i is 2.5 bar, 325i and M30B35 are 3 bar.

Your question is very vague no specifics on what engine or upgrades the engine has,
So more info is needed if you want a proper answer!

If you wish to remain on this forum, I suggest you supress your somewhat aggressive attitude!g-e30 wrote:Oh look another smart ass!!! (Rav33uk)

Some of u lot are a waste of space..need to sort it out and not spend u lives giving jip on here
I was after some help so if u haven't got it why are you here?
Anyway I'd like the pressure regulator to sort out the noise of my injectors because if I was to just replace them with in 10000 miles the would be taping away agen but I no more pressure on them would sort that out
So all I'm after is the standard pressure so I can just up it a bit..I'm not after power out of my powerless engine
Thanks

So you think that acting with an attitude is going to just be ignored, you've brought it on yourself!
Upping the fuel pressure isn't going to stop the injectors tapping, it's just what they do!

Standard pressure is 2.5Bar for the M20B20.g-e30 wrote:but I no more pressure on them would sort that out
Upping the pressure wont solve ticking injectors, thats just the way they are, start worrying when they stop ticking........
Increasing the fuel presure on a standard engine will only lead to overfuelling, Lower Mpg and possible bore wash.

The attitude is from asking a question and instead of help I just get jokers
And I'm pretty sure upping the pressure will help..well I guess I will let u no
And the b20 isn't that bad just pulls from my mates 18is just uses twice the fuel but makes a better noise doing it apart from the tapping tho
Anyway I didn't see that some archly put the pressure of 2.5 psi so I guess I no now

You've had help and advice, just that it wasn't what you wanted to hear even though it was from people who know what they're talking about you've decided you know best. Good luck!

The very first answer you received was informative. Zaust didn't answer your exact question, but he tried to help you save money and time, in a simple and polite manner. You reacted completely inappropriately to that, and IMO you owe Zaust an apology.

Noisy injectors are a good thing, means you know they're working
