My car's ventilation fan has become rather noisy on all speeds, it sounds like a bird's stuck in it. Is there anything I can do without having to strip half the dash down?

The fan is accessible via the black plate plate in the back of the engine bay.
You might need to cut all of the cable ties holding wires and pipes to it first.
Once you've got this plate off, there are a couple of covers which clip over the fan.

I would use something like 3-in-1 oil; WD40 only works for 40 days or so, then it will evaporate or dry up and the fan will start squarking again.
