Right then guys, the car is going in to paint in a couple of months but unsure what to do colour wise. currently it is calypso red but we are tempted to do it in the marrakech brown, what are your thoughts on this, do it or leave it original?????

Bit more work than i expected but want the car to be spot on just i cant decide on the colour, i'm kinda leaning towards the brown but dont want to paint it then regret it

Calypso E30's are awesome
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

I'd leave it as it is if you've got any interest in maintaining it value in the future. Plus marrakech brown seems to be the current in thing which as nice as it looks, may just as quickly become unpopular.

good point kedge, future value doesn't really bother me as no plans of getting rid of it, but dont also want it to look out of place in a year or so, decisions decisions!!!!!!!!!!

It's certainly a tough call, but you do have a fairly well desired colour to start with, not like it's something horrid to start with.

Marrakech brown will make your car look like it was shat out of a British Leyland factory during a dysentry outbreak.
In comparison, I've lost count of the number of threads where people say "I have a 325i sport with all the factory options including a built-in Fleshlight, but I'd swap it all for something in Calypso Red."

Rav is probably right, but to be the first Marakesh brown in the UK is surely a good thing
I vote brown, purely because there are a few calypso red turds knocking about.

Painting a car that was a good colour from the factory brown is something that should be limited to VW owners.

I don't want to sound sexist or patronising (even if I am), but you could do worse than ask a few women which colour they would prefer. They seem to go on colour more than anything else.
But ultimately, you're the one that's got to live with it...
