Afternoon all, I am trying to remove the sills at the prop end and I am at the point where the bugger won't come out.

Anyone got any tips or is it just a case of pick at it until you win?

I have loads of work to do on this car so I will be asking heaps of questions over the weeks.

Don't give up you should be able to dig it out, careful not to mark the shaft though.

Ah, SEALS! I've been wondering why you are associating the cars sills with the gearbox.
You really need a tool with a hook on the end to do this quickly and easily. Dentists' tools turn up on street trader/market type stalls, and are worth buying.
It has also been known for new seals to be fitted in this position without removing the old one first. The old seal can be pushed further in, leaving room for a new seal outside of it.
Far easier job if you unbolt the gearbox crossmember and let the back of the box down on a jack. There's very little weight supported by it.

Got it out and killed the new one trying to fit it. So it's back to C3 this morning for another one.

I am taking the box out today so I can do the crank seal and output shaft.
