Hi all...

After the recent birth of my daughter I was wondering what child seats people are using in their E30s. At the minute I have a Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix which only seems to fit in the passenger seat.

I want something that will fit better and more permenantly into the back seats and for something when she gets a bit older, I like the look of the Recaro seats but haven't looked into how they fit yet.

Cheers
Terry

I've been using Recaro Junior sport seats, great protection and they are solid once fitted properly, no movement.

We are using a maxi cosi capsule and the thing is bloody huge 8O
It only just fits in the E34 - no chance of getting in my E30 (not that 2 door cars and child seats are very compatible.
That said, it is safe convenient (capsule clicks out and straight into the pram) and looks OK

congrats mate!

we have 2 seats for our one kid......

in my wifes A4, we have a maxicosi axis permanently fixed in which is great as it swivels around so easy to put baby in and out

i have a kiddy guardian pro II...the nice thin about this is that it fits into the car in about 5 secs and can be removed just as easily, so doesn't need to sit in the e30 24/7. also when parents visit or if we go in someone elses car, we can just pop the seat in and we're away! probably the best thing for an e30..i think it can be used up to 12 years old!

Pukar, those are isofix aren't they? No go in an E30.

no isofix.....have alook at the seat belt slots on the bottom of the maxicosi, the seat belt goes around here and behind the seat....on the kiddy guardian, the whole seat is plonked onto the car seat and the belt clips around the front cushion...takes about 5 seconds to fit and remove entirely from the car!
