Again, looking good Mick,
1 question, you say you're loving the ride height at the front and being able to get a trolley jack on the lollypop mount without lifting the car up by the wing and kicking the jack under blind etc,
What drop is it ??

they are m-tech 6-pot springs Nigel so it's a -15 mm drop .
seeing as the sump is the lowest part i'd like to keep it out the way of speed bumps

FULL engine service yesterday .
some castrol gloop ,oil filter,K&N cleaner/charger and a 318is fuel filter [£15 for a bloody fuel filter
]

some super 4's

the air filter was minging so i'm glad that i got round to cleaning it,i actually cleaned it twice and forgot to clean the kitchen sink after which was soon drawn to my attention
before

after a jolly good clean [twice]

and fully charged [with intent to beat 14.62 down the strip @ pod]

nice

been busy with this again today as i noticed a slight oil leak and after changing a manky looking rocker cover gasket i found the real culprit to be the oil filter housing gasket.
a new one was only £5 from BMW and a new aux belt £15 from local car factors + £11.50 for red coolant.along with these parts i fitted another p/s pump and an a/c rad and 16" pusher fan.
the upper rad and fan combo has been good but bigger is better .....

just needs a good clean and wax then it's all ready for pod this weekend .

the car is now sorned and will return in the spring with m52 2.8 power .
as much as i like the m50 i've ran out of things to do to the car so fook it i'm going for it.
i've got my hands on an m52 from a 728i so i'll need a few parts like an e36 m52 loom and a DanThe ews delete mapped ecu for the m50 inlet manifold i think i'll need some new p/s pipes from Dan to work with the p/s pump ,i'll be wanting an e36 box and a long diff ratio unless i can find a 100% guaranteed good 318is box with no crunchy gears or whines then i won't need to buy another Diff .
does it ever end
first step is extract m52 from e38 auto

the bigger rad is from an e36 with a/c fitted,if your thinking of getting one make sure it has a fan switch fitted or at least has the brass screw recess for one to fit in.
i bought one from an e36 ti that didn't take a fan switch but was the same size rad
i've just offloaded that fooker on ebay and made a fiver profit

Yeah my current one has s brass plug me thinks . The bottle looks rough and it could do with a general clean . I did get one similar to the e36 a/c one you have there but i think its from an e34 ,at the time it wouldnt fit cant remember why tho lol
Cheeky ! I relisted the possible e34 one ,three times still no avail

If the drag car is done, then no chance mate, although I'll probably be killed first time out in it
