check panel fault

every time i start her up the check panel shows a fault with the tail /brake lights but after a few miles when i stop and start again it all goes out any ideas

The "Brake light" Check light is supposed to show when you start the car, it should go off when you press the brake peddle.
Pete don't care about colour, He would shag a rainbow if he could find the end of it....

If a lamp failure LED comes on when the bulbs are all apparently OK, then there is either a slightly resistive contact to one of the bulbs, or you have a cheap, out of spec lamp fitted somewhere.
