The car being a rusty turd does not normally stop them buying !
I assume the fact the seller would not take 6k was probably more of an issue !

The chances are it will get snapped up quickly even if it is a rusty turd.

I have been told it has rust in all the usual places
-Rear arches including starting to rust inside
-Back panel
-Around the Windscreen
-Under Fuse box
-Sunroof
-All Jacking Points
So yeah I guess you could call it a project.

It is owned by a friend of mines father, I can vouch for the fact it is a nice rot free motor. Once decounciled it would make a stunning car, couple grand spent on it and it will be a minter.senna wrote:This one possibly makes more economical sense?

There you go a non rusty car for 12k. The 10k car needs a full strip and rebuild from bare shell.ross_jsy wrote:It is owned by a friend of mines father, I can vouch for the fact it is a nice rot free motor. To be honest, it's not a direct comparison. The car was originally for sale for £16k iirc, but the market in Jersey is limited compared to the UK and it hasn't sold for a while now.

The mug would be the fool who drops 13k on a clocked '87 councilled up turd.

The interior and the headlights indicate that the car is an early pre '88 turd, the VIN plate confirms that it is a 2/87 build 195/200 bhp car.
The car has no side marker lights and a KM speedo so it is obviously not a UK market car. The sellers diatribe is so full of bollox and BS I would not believe a word he says. I don't even need to mention all the nasty things that have been done to the poor turd as they are pretty obvious.
In my experience, cars that look like this and that are sold by twats are seldom nice.............

Brilliant thanks for info as I was semi considering going to have a look at this, where can you check the VIN? also it seems strange that he would post the VIN when it can be checked easily enough that its not a 90 plate.
I intended to try and buy this for the purpose of putting a S54 in it, which it might good for if it as rot free as he states albeit an expensive shell!

No need to go to Jersey and buy a turd that may also have duty/tax implicationsdusty23 wrote:Brilliant thanks for info as I was semi considering going to have a look at this, where can you check the VIN? also it seems strange that he would post the VIN when it can be checked easily enough that its not a 90 plate.

Car was registered here in 1990, it is an earlier car imported from Germany iirc.
Just read the ad, that's a bit embarrassing! Being sold by a classic car dealers over here.
