Hi i'm looking for some more info on removing the plastic painted 'guttering' that is situated on the rear quarter glass.

i have the chrome trim that runs along the top of the windows off and thats as far as i have got. I have tryed prying and pulling but it just seams stubborn as hell to come off. just wondering if there are any tricks or tips on getting it off or is it just worth leaving it on for the re-spray?

any help would be brill thanks..

sam

this bit if it make it any clearer what i'm on about!

These (8mm) nuts are for removing the rear quarter glass, not C piller trim.

They just pull off, but you will almost certainly break the little clips holding them in place. The base of them is the hardest part, and needs prying out with some evenly applied force (i.e. don't twist it off, pull it straight towards you).

No, nothing else needs removing and you shouldn't damage anything. They should come out easy.

Only other thing is the front long gutters or at least the little trim joining them to the small rear gutters you are trying to pull off.

You wont brake the painted part if you are careful to pull it out in a straight line. Just be careful, as it is easy to pull the top out too much, causing you to snap the fastener off the back of the base of the trim!
