(Mods, I posted this in the shop forum but in retrospect that was the wrong place, please delete the one in the shop forum)

I did both these mods on my m40 and while I think they were good, its hard to tell which one made the most economic sense. Are the gains noticeable from these mods on an m20? If so which should be the priority and what should I check is in current good order to make the most of the mod?

thanks

on the m40, i did the chip first and very shortly afterwards the TB. I felt like chip really didn't enhance performance in a speed sense but certainly made everything smoother, its difficult to describe but the drive seemed somehow easier.

Then I installed the new TB. It felt pretty much how you'd expect something to feel with a greater air flow, the difference wasn't huge but I was fairly sure it climbed to 4/5/6k a bit quicker and felt as though it was breathing a bit easier. Whilst I wouldn't say it was necessarily the best Ԛ£120 I've ever spent, it wasn't a waste and my m40 might not have been tip top to start with so others may see better gains. Perhaps even mating the 'wild' chip to the TB would be a better mix than the 'mild' which is what I had. In short I did notice a difference but I think I might invest in ITG induction first, not sure.
