Hi mate,
To be fair I was slightly sceptical about cheaper eBay chips a well but decided to try one that was for sale for £35. It's from a guy in Northern Ireland who specialises in e30's. My car just wasn't running right, loads of flat spots up through the rev range and this chip has sorted it all. I'm very happy and extremely surprised at the improvement the chip has made. Much quicker throttle response, more torque and power and generally a lot smoother to drive. The guys company is Word of Mouth Motorsport and his eBay name is dmcl-325i
I'd recommend this chip to anyone and value for money it's fantastic.

I didn't think so mate, the history I have with the car says it's chipped, any idea how I'd know? it runs rich so I think its just a really pants chip if any?
you can look in the ecu the original chip has a sticker with printed numbers on it something like 1 267 356 288 if thats not there then its probably a replacement chip. Also do the tabs on the ecu which have to be bent up to get it open look tampered with or not if so somebodys probably been in there to change the chip.

This is exactly what you shouldn't do! This is a faulty car that has just been bodged by introducing new faults* that happen to counteract existing faults. Before fitting any 'chip' you need to ensure that the engine is running as well as it did when it left the factory.Colzy87 wrote: My car just wasn't running right, loads of flat spots up through the rev range and this chip has sorted it all. *Most likely to be over fuelling.
