E46 Door catches

Behind the plastic covers where the metal door catches are and often dirt collects .... Is this a common place for E46s to rust ?

Where are the other common areas ?

PS I saw a Ferrari F40 at Pistonheads SS with 'paint bubbling' near the rear wing!!!!'
