This is what happen if you don't put Tech problems in the Tech forum...
1) Which engine have you put in? M20 or M50?
2) Most likely issue is your crank sensor, known as the CPS. Make sure it's connected to the loom with the right plug (it's common to get the CPS and oil level sender plugs confused), and that the CPS wire hasn't been worn, cut or otherwise damaged by the belts and pulleys at the front of the engine.

THe engine will only supply power to the fuel pump and coil if it gets a positive reading from the CPS.
What age is this engine? Is the CPS down by the crank pulley, or are there two on the gearbox?

Power is supplied to the coil by the ignition switch. CPS switches the coil to make it produce sparks, but there should still be power at the coil, even with a duff CPS.

I have a good friend with dyslexia - totally failed by the educational system, but now in the development dept. at Land Rover, and consider myself able to distinguish to a large degree between dyslexia and simple laziness.
Dyslexics are welcome on here; those who can't be bothered to use shift keys, add a bit of punctuation or type words in full are less so.

Maybe we should update the home page with that so we dont have this issue of new members ruining it for everyone else?
If you read back on his post, I think its pretty damn obvious that its not simple laziness... Using a 'Y' instead of 'why' is alot more easier to understand that 'wiy', as well as most of his spelling.
Using the shift key & adding some punctuation isnt always as easy as some might think... We all have friends who aren't clued up on the Internet or computers for that matter.
My opinion, obviously...
