So you might remember this from the for sale thread, I brought it as something for me to do! just to sort out a few little bits and to go and have a little fun driving!

Well turned out to be a different story, once i scratched deeper than the surface, realised there was going to be alot more work that i figured!
Basically the bodykit bumpers and side skirts had wood screws holding them on, removed the front bumper to find the front valance was basically missing, rear bumper had been modded to fit standard brackets, but still had the wood screws through the side! so project mayhem began.............
Was a bit crap on the photo taking side of life, but i stripped the whole car of anything in my way and got started-
Image

Treated all inner arches/wells etc with waxoyl and sorted the floor with a shed load of hammerite!
Got my hands on some replica mtec 2 bumpers and got to fit them, with a great deal of difficulty! then gave the car a mammoth rub down and alot of filler and filler primer! then skirted over with white primer-

After that I thought that i like the whole matt white thing, so set about making it a better finish, but im having to build this project outside and due to weather im having a mare! but managed to finish the boot area so you can hopefully see whats its going to look like-
Image
as you can see ive made a few purchases, like all red lights, mtec 1 spoiler and the red number plate surround! have a few more goodies being prepped and ready, like my image 3 peice split rims, they are at the refurbers right now but this is how they looked-
Image
Now im also aware that this is not everyones cup of tea, but im feeling pretty positive that when im finished it should look pretty different and above all I should be over the moon with my efforts!
will post more bits as i go along, but this is really taking so much longer than i planned!
cheers guys.

Shame about the wood screws etc mate. Looks alot better with the tech 2 bumpers on imo. The rear end shot looks awesome.

It's flocked mate chap in Mansfield does them, makes a nice job if your dash is cracked and manky 8)
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

So bit of an update-
wheels back and put on, worked out just right, not had to use spacers and sit just as i wanted at the edge of the arches!
finished the bulk of the spraying and gave it a good rub down, still bits to touch up and re-do but im getting there!
Image
Image
steering wheel and gauges also arrived so got to mounting them, just need to connect them all up- got my old school kenwood mask and changer all in, just need a new glove box to finish that off-
Image
also decided to have a go at tidying up the trim, so rubbed it down, filler primed it and sprayed it matt black
Image
fronts are a little close to the bumper!
Image
but overall thats my lot up too now! different angle shot-
Image
let me know what you think!
cheers
