Yep that's the one dude. 2 of the 4 cars involved have had their insurance voided due to undeclared mods and one of them having his car insured by his mother.suchy wrote:Good post Lee. Do you have the Cornish(?) one that involved fatalities and parent's losing their house and everything? Not to shock but to put it out there again.
I'm just in the process of hosing the insurers down through the courts at the moment.

How can the insurers prove that the "mother" isnt the main driver and void the insurance?

Check if she already has another car in her name and insured in her name. Ask neighbours on the sly. Evidence from police interviews. Also, in the case I'm involved in the car in question was a slammed civic with the interior stripped out. Not really the usual ride of a mid 40's woman.

Hosing down ? Is it a case of the insurers have to pay out even if the policies are voided, then the insurer comes after the uninsured party with a court settlement + costs to pay ?
If I'm pushing the boundaries of your professional responsibilities I'll fully understand.

Yep, pretty much. I sue the drivers, their insurers have to settle my client's claim and then the insurers have the option of pursuing their own policyholder for what they have had to pay out to my client.Topblag wrote:

I have a 2.7 Griffin motor available, from my old white C1 2.3.
All I'd have to do is build another C1 2.3 unit from scratch. Like that's going to happen!
