Right so av got all my parts now, swapped pedal box and fitted clutch line so saturday I'm going to go for it and swap it all inc diff, my question is my gearbox 325 one going on 325 has two sensors near the flywheel and I wondered where they plug into on the car, might be a daft Q as sort of hoping once I get laid under her it will be easy to work out where they go by lengh and plug, just thought it be handy if I had a head start! Thanks

Need a few full stops in there; I can't work out what your question is
If I read you right, you've picked an early pre-facelift gearbox with the sensors mounted in the side. If you're fitting this to a facelift M20 with Motronic 1.3, you won't need those sensors. You can either remove them and block up the holes with a custom-made plate, or just leave them in and tie the useless cables up somewhere safe.
If this is a prefacelift M20, those two cables are part of the engine management system (Motronic 1.0) and will plug into the existing loom.

Can the lug be added to a facelift flywheel? Is that the only differences between the 2 flywheels pre/post facelift?
That flywheel defo came from a facelift car dude

How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Don't think they can, don't think the holes are there on the facelift flywheel but could be wrong.

What do the holes look like, there are some holes in the flywheel, with the clutch plate one there's three gaps in the plate-flywheel, in one of these there's a pair or shallow holes in the other a pair of deep holes and in the third gap there's no holes

Is there a way of telling which manual flywheel I will need before I take the auto box out as mine is a pre facelift car however the fly wheel changes I can find are listed as 85-87 as pre and 87-93 as post, my car is an 87 just to realy make it hard so could need either!!

A complete solution to the problem, which will also pay dividends performance wise, is to ditch the primitive pre facelift engine management, and to perform the fairly simple task of upgrading to the much more advanced facelift M1.3 system.
Telling us the last three numbers on the ECU you are using will tell us exactly what system you have now.

I will get them digit tnight, wish I'd just v8 it now! Other project I'm considering is turbo in winter so if I changed to a system that would accomodate that would be goodBrianmoooore wrote:A complete solution to the problem, which will also pay dividends performance wise, is to ditch the primitive pre facelift engine management, and to perform the fairly simple task of upgrading to the much more advanced facelift M1.3 system.

They both monitor the tab, the teeth are only ring gear for the starter motor.
