engine struts on m40 ?

there are little shock/strut things that i removed when i pulled the engine, do i remove them as im putting in an m20?

Yes, they are fitted to the m40 but not the m20

As above, fitted to the 4 pots to dampen dynamic imbalance but not with the 6 as the natural balance is enough.
