Now i have tried the search function but i cant seem use it properly!!

Right..i have a severe whining noise whilst turning the steering wheel,i have checked the fluid level and its fine..but the fluid does seem a little thin,whats the viscousity of it supposed to be,thick?
Could i have a prob with the pump?Its an m50 2.5 engine in a 2.5 e30 cabs....

ATF is like p155 when warm, sounds like your pump is knackered
