Ok, i have the m30b35 in a e30 but it pressurises the system. i Left it for 4 months cos id got the arse ache with it, and in the meantime bought another engine for it. Ive began getting the new engine ready , all cleaned and painted and whilst i was in the workshop i thought id run the existing engine up and have one last go at bleeding it up. no joy, within 5 mins its pouring water out of the header tank pipe, tried all sorts to bleed it, higher tank running bleeding continuous etc. I have no oil in the water and no water in the oil!!, so i keep trying to convince myself its an air lock again.
I removed the thermostat housing and the thermostat has been removed (was by me all tho months ago, whilst trying to bleed it before). Could this cause an airlock?. then i took the water pump off to see if that had busted but no that seems ok. When the water pump was off it becomes obvious that there is water in the lower engine so no air lock there, Im just having a last minute go to try and sort it cos to be honest i havent really got the time to change the engine.
Apart from that the engine runs great. please help!!

on the M30 i find the quickest and simplist way is heater control on hot ...... fill up as norm ......from cold ......... at the header/expansion tank........... when your full up.........undo one of the temp sensor thingys at the front and i always fill the rest up there......when it pi55es out, do the sensor back up and away you go. Leave the heater control on hot throughout Always works with out fail for me.......However mine does pressuize slightly.............have checked it for head gasket failure as per will and all good .........all the best Gus :0)

There is a step by step guide in this m30 section somewhere, where you blow into the small pipe going to the rad while connecting another hose, cant remember exactly how it goes but I've followed it about 4 times now and never had a problem with air locks
