M30 3.5 conversion

Hi, i am just going to start my conversion, my E30 is a 2.0 auto, the engine and box is an M30 with a manual box, i would prefer auto, can the 2.0 box be used or will i need an E34 auto box? and will the E34 auto box fit in the E30 tunnel? thanks.

You will need the m30 slush box along with the flywheel nd a few other bits. I would leave it manual or fit a m20b25 of you want auto.

I reckon a M30 auto would be nice to drive in an E30, yes as above the auto box fits in the tunnel etc.. There's a guy running one in a cab, Martin is his name but user name is something like MJZX6R.

Hang on to the manual box though as there getting rare and in turn going up in value.
