Hi guys, this problem has literally just switched on been driving the car all day without problems until 2 miles from home.
It's still running the standard pierburg 2be carb which is a bit iffy and uses a lot of fuel but for some reason if input my foot flat to the floor 100% throttle it just bogs down and the revs die down at 3/4k rpm and drop down to 1k then building back up and the cycle repeats.
It does this both when fully loaded and idle revving but when idle it does it at 5/6k rpm.
But if I accelerate at 90% throttle its fine.
I've stripped all the carb down and everything seems to be fine.
The diaphragm for the second chamber butterfly opens on full throttle and all vaccumm pipes are correct.
All ignition side checked, spark gaps ect so I'm ruleing that out and blaming the carb.
Any suggestions ? I'm going away at weekend so just need to get threw this then I can put my new 2.3 engine into her.
