Does anyone have tips or good ideas on how to bring my headlamps back to there former glory?

they are looking really quite dull....

T-Cut?
Two headblenders, couple of bags of MC Hammer, 5 litres of FFF, a 48ft bastard, a box of jumped-up custard and some soggy chimps

Clean the inside out with cotton buds and methylated spirit.

Agree on the T-Cut too. It gets a undeserved bad reputation rather like Autoglym products.

certain detailers and smaller manufacturers give AG a bad rep, but its decent stuff. i love their glass polish which is ideal for the job.
i also think their acid free wheel cleaner is excellent, much better than the over hyped billberry crap

You can get headlight restoration kits that supposedly work really well on glass. Wetsanding is another option.

Resurrecting an old thread, I've also heard toothpaste but it has to be whitening as its slightly gritty as it has something in it. Although I used t cut on the Mrs focus as her headlight went hazy and failed mot on light projection/pattern. T cut worked wonders!

The gritty stuff they add is bicarbonate of soda.

Soda crystals diluted in warm water would probably work well too.

saw something somewhere , a kit that was £10 from machine mart, that had great results,. really need to do mine

I use fairy liquid/thinners on the insides,works a treat :D

Some heat from a heatgun usually works.
Depending on how bad they are too.

Is it the main beam? or high beam?

Careful if cleaning the inside of the glass, the white pattern beam deflector can rub off quite easily, ask me how I know......doh!!!!

On the outside I used Cerium Oxide mixed to a paste and machine polished, they came up almost perfect.

An old bit of Clay bar you will be suprised how much crap it pulls out the glass! I use it on wind screen to much better than any paste or polish;-)
