Fuel pressure regulator or possibly slight leak in the fuel system/injectors/fuel rail?

Fitted a replacement fuel pump in my 325 this week as old one failed, this starting issue has now gone, the old pump must have been not pumping at right pressure do to it being worn, so thats a bonus!

There's a non return valve built into the pump, and it's the failure of this that would have been causing the starting problem. Now that the pump itself has failed as well and has been replaced, the original problem has been resolved along with the more recent one.
BMW can supply an external stand alone non return valve to solve the first problem, when the rest of the pump is still serviceable.
