The matt finish looks badass. I personally love it! but god it's not going to age well. For most scratches will result in a respray or touch up by dealerships or tradesmen.

Short version of the video - any trouble with it repaint it, any really well stuck on dirt or road tar and your screwed.
Better to get a gloss one and have it vinyl wrapped, at least that way recovering is simple and you can remove it to regain value come resale.
Vinyl wrap is probably cheaper as well.

Two ney's then. I wonder how much it costs for this high maintenance paint finish!
The Internet - It has proven to be worthless, and is nothing but a repository for perverts.

Its a new range of paint by BMW. It has the look of Matt paint but has a gloss finish to protect it from birds bowel movements and stone chips.
Although you can't polish out scratches as it makes the paint lose it's matt finish and as HairyScreech says "any trouble with it repaint it"

Its pretty much a 3 stage paint process with a matt lacquer ontop of the colour coat instead of a normal gloss one.
Its nothing new really just new to the paint list offered by bmw.

I saw the frozen blue finish in the flesh on the new M5 on the BMW stand at Goodwood FOS this year.
It really didn't do it for me and reminded me of my ex-wife............sort of alright from a distance, but really high maintenance
