Is it ok to run different profiles on the front and rear

I am going to run 205/45 and 215/40 8.5j at the rear for a staggered set of bbs rs

Need to have similar rolling radii front and back if you have ABS.

^^ The abs thing is quite important, otherwise it will be constantly thinking the rear is locking, not a good start.

However otherwise its fine.

I am running staggered bbs rs

7.5 j and 8.5J and tyre place has put me 205/45/16 on the front and 215/40/16 on back

Should I get these replaced ASAP or should I replace asap

225/40/16 would be a closer match. (0.8%)
your currently at 2.1% difference.

Hopefully someone with more experience of staggered wheels on an e30 will be able to say better.

225/40 would catch the arch, with 215 it's totally clear.
Seems to drive better with 215/40 than 225/45

I think most staggered set ups run differant tyres.

225 can cause arch issues if the et is high
