Hello,
I'm brand new to this forum but a 15 year BMW enthusiast. I'm currently in an E39 M5 but considering a move back to E30 ownership.
So anyway here goes:
I took a very clean Carbon Black E39 M5 in a PX against my E46 M3 Convertible Individual with (40,000 mile minter) I was originally going to sell it immediately however after driving it about I’ve ended up keeping it for 9 months and used it as my daily driver.
I've recently moved a short walk from where I work and I’ve started thinking that as I’m only going to do probably 5k a year now that it might be the right time to get an old E30 classic and look after it.
So, I know it’s a bit of a random one, but if anyone on here has an E30 and fancy’s a PX (cash either way), or Swap for an E39 M5 then please do get in touch. I’d consider anything well sorted which is why I thought I’d start on the Forum. The car is known on BMW5 in the M-Powered Section and the details of the car are as follows:
2000 (V Plate) BMW E39 M5
Carbon Black
Black and Silver Nappa Leather
Celis Rear Lights
Xenon Head Lights (non angel eye)
Shadow Rims (recently refurbed)
Standard car apart from Muffler Delete (I have the standard rear boxes also)
110k FSH
Recently had inspection 2 service (so next one id the cheaper service)
Diff serviced
Less than 10k on new clutch
Brand new rear discs (less than 500 miles)
Brand new rear pads (less than 500 miles)
I took the car in PX on an M3 convertible at a value of £7.5k. At the moment M5’s fetch anything from £4500 for a nail up to £11k for a last of the line model with low miles. This I would honestly say is up there with the best in terms of condition, however it doesn’t have the sat nav, or rear parking sensors or angel eyes meaning it will never fetch top money. When I took the car in I had it checked over for any major faults and it was fine, then upon deciding to drive it for a while I took it to my mechanic who I trust and have used for years to have a look over it. I left the car with him while I was away for 2 weeks and just said do whatever needs doing up to the value of £2.5k. Upon my return I was presented with a bill for £857 and told it was one of the best M5’s he’d seen. I then took it to have 4 wheel laser alignment done so it rides great. All I’ve done apart from above mentioned is a few cosmetic bits n bobs. I’ve Dodo Juiced the paint, Gliptoned the leather which came up great, fitted OEM replacement pedal rubbers, a new handbrake handle, gear knob and gaiters for both. The only negative I can think of is that it could do with the steering wheel being recovered which I was going to have done by Jack at Royal Steering Wheels in black Alcantara. It really is clean having had the bonnet and wing mirrors painted to rid them of stone chips just before I bought it.
So if anyone out there has a nice E30 that they are looking to change from, and if you fancy doing a stint in the 400BHP Beast then please do send me a message and I’ll come back to you.
Thanks for reading, and apologies to any E30 fundamentalists who I’ve offended with my talk of the filthy 5 series.
(oh i'm based in London, but also regularly in Bucks too)

Apologies, i know that is annoying. I might be being thick, but i cant find a way to browse the files on my PC and can only see an option to add a URL and i dont have pictures of the car on the net, they are on my phone, ipad, etc.
If anyone wants pictures PM me and i'll send you detailed photos direct to your email.
Its a standard looking carbon black (very deep purple/blue/ black) e39 M5 with the standard staggered 18" shadow chrome rims, standard ride height etc.

Sorry I tried to be thorough but I've clearly missed some vital stuff.
I'd value it around £6-7k I guess. But for instance I'm talking to a guy with a car worth about £4k but he'd give me cash also. However I'd still be interested in talking to someone with a car that they'd want mine plus cash. I don't think I'm in M3 territory as I'd not be looking to spend an additional £10-15k
Sorry to be vague but it's because I'm quite flexible. If I were to find someone wanting to give me their car plus cash I'd just spend the cash on the car to increase the value if you know what I mean.
If you've got an e30 and you fancy an M5 then we can chat and see if we can both come away with a good deal I guess would be the easiest way of putting it.

Oh and preferably a sport but would consider nice cab. M50/52 engine conversions also look interesting. I've had e30's but not even driven one with a conversion.

If that is the sack of sh1te that was parked with the zone turds on Sunday , I would swap an E39 M5 spare wheel for it , and even then I would have to think about it ! Epic scrap
