I have a 1990 touring 1.8... it seems to be tappy when up to temperature... can you adjust the valves on this? what oil is best to use when i do a oil change?

The car has had 2 owners from new... 74,000 and all mots, not much on proof of oil changes tho. going to have someone look under the rocker cover tomorrow tho so will know more. The car is mint never been welded or anything, inside is mint too... i might put a new camshaft kit into it as i only paid 400 for the car. I was go ing to do a oil change and get a new oil bar for now tho. car revs fine at all stages.

Nice, sounds like a sweet deal. As Will says these do get noisy, often the only cure is a new camshaft kit .
