Most of these customers went for the new Sportage or Sorento which are extremely popular and cost anywhere from £17,000 - £32,000

I can tell you this for certain if you were to buy a BMW or an Audi it would loose more money in the first 3 years than a Kia would.

Lets get one thing stright though although i believe they are a good car and would happily sell one to friends and family i am still a BMW man myself :D

So we can deduce that apart from the pennies losers that crave the deluded 'kudos' of owning a '12 plate car, we can now add financially unastute imbeciles and straight up idiots to that list

I appreciate that Kias are probably good appliances in the same way a Toyota, Hyundai etc are. I know they're basically good cars under the crass styling and despite the low rent image.

But value for money? No - they're silly money for a cheap Korean tin can.

Looking at the official price list, a semi decent spec Cee'd 1.6 diesel is what, 18 grand? When a 2.0 116d is a shade under 20k, you'd need to be very, very stupid to buy the Kia. But looking at the gormless Morons that drive these things (and Korean cars in general) reminds of the great adage - 'never underestimate the stupidity of the public"

If any more needs to be said - check out their price list - it makes frightening reading. All that money down the toilet and just 7 year old Kia to show for it. Do you really think a 116d will shed value faster than a Cee'd................?

If I was after an everyday car, and I wasn't a petrolhead, I would have to visit the Kia showroom as the 7 year warranty is very appealing, and the cars don't look too bad. I must admit that I haven't driven one though!

Sorry. The punters trading the the '08 Audi and the 55 1 series are just morons. Those two cars in 5 years will still be worth more than the new Kia they've bought, better to drive and less embarrassing on the driveway.

What percentage of your customers pitch up and actually pay cash? Very, very few I'll bet.

To be fair, how many buyers EVER pay cash for a car? Very few. Kia/Hyundai buyers will retort that 'we bought it because we don't care about image' to which I'd reply 'why don't you buy a 4 year old Toyota for half the money then?"

There's little excuse for buying any new car, but really.....17 grand for a f***ing Kia? I cannot believe folk are that stupid. The Koreans can't believe their luck, a rich seam of suckers.

I really don't understand spunking all that cash on a Kia, I agree with Andy though very rarely does anyone buy a new car outright.

So say you wanted to buy an 18K Kia over a four year finance deal it would be circa £300 a month and be worth next to Fook all after those 4 years.

Or you could lease a brand spanking new C220D for £279 per month with a £600 deposit. If the new reg plate is what's important why not have a premium German barge on your drive than a plastic shit box.

Theres only one reason the Discos in there. Great that they are, the owners shat himself on the last invoice presented (or the quote for the impending work due) and thought:

"fook this, I'll take 7 years warranty and piece of mind thanks. If the Kias worth fook all after 7 years I've still potentially spent the same money as keeping an ageing Disco on the road (or selling this one and buying a later 2nd hand one with added depreciation) without all the aggro of being standed on the hard shoulder when I should be in a meeting!"

I'd be seriously interested what Kia gave as trade money for the 1 series. That looks a reasonable spec car. 118D or 120D?

Andy, lease company. Clyde leasing in Ayr have always got exceptionally good deals on the c class.

They had a special a few weeks back on the new Volvo s60 for £199 a month. Downside was the grand up front deposit though.
