Hi, have a little problem with crank position sensors
there are 2 sensors on the side of bell housing m3 e30
one top , other bottom, they are identical , when i took them off
and put new ones , didn't paid attention witch goes where ( i didn't mark them at the time)
now i have no spark , please help :(
they join at the top to the 2 plugs under the plastic cover
is a) top sensor on bell housing joins far left plug?
b) top sensor on bell housing joins middle plug?

Would it be safe to assume that as you now have no spark they might be the wrong way around?
Cant hurt to swap them over and see the result.

Are you sure there is no spark or do you just have a non starter?

She lost the power when i took her out over last week end, engine got hot and she stopped, i waited for about 10-15 min, and she started i went for another mile or two , i assume sensors got hot again, and then she stopped again, but this time i couldn't start her even after she cooled down, , i got a pair of new sensors assuming that's the reason, and got myself into this ...
but may be ignition COIL packed up , and not the sensors, i didn't have multimeter to check the voltage at the time,
just one of these days..... :(
