wont restart after its been running!!

hi guys,
my e30 cab has been having a few problems, i have just replaced the ICV because i thought it was flattening the battery, but now once i get it running its fine but if i turn her off it wont start again, it just turns over... if i leave it for 30 mins it will start or it will start from a push start?? the altinator is charging well on my meter..
any ideas would be good.
its very frustrating not being able to drive it....

Hi... When I had a similar problem it turned out to be the fuel pump relay. Don't know if yours has same as mine. Namely in front of the fuse box theres another small relay holder with black cover over it. It was the relay furthest away from the fuse box. Take it out, check conections and put it back. Thats all it took to sort mine out. Cheers

What engine, to start with?

If it wont start for a while but then will, and this is regular, I'd suggest it's flooding the engine (rich running). This usually happens when the wire to the blue temp sensor is disturbed, meaning the car overfuels on startup and especially when warm.
