Guys I have an MOT tomorrow and there is no way the tint will pass...

I have 2 normal glass windows from a breaker and want to swap them over for the test but...

How the hell do you get the glass out of the runners? They are not bolted, just an aluminium bracket with a bit of plastic between the glass and the aluminium. Does it just lift out or is the plastic bit attached to the glass?

Please help, need to do this today:)

Can't you somehow wedge the window in for the MOT, and then replace them afterwards?

Technically, you dont need the door glass fitted to pass an MOT.......

" All fitted glass/glazing must have a minimum transparancy of 75-80% and not have any marks/markings as to cause a distraction to the drivers view "

A bit of a long shot winkeye

Don't see why it's even such a long shot TBH - some cars don't even *have* side windows!

Well the film is off now anyway... hated to do it but I need the car for work so I don't want to give the buggers any excuse..

And my god is getting the window back in good fun or what...
