There's always something a bit weird about people who refer to themselves in the third person... Car looks nice enough, I guess you'll be heading off to an E36 forum now?

Nearly had the E36 year and it's held up well, only needing a new clutch slave cylinder.

Until 5 days ago when I started hearing a clunking noise coming from the rear. Jacked the car up today and found this  :o 8O

Well and truly fooked :(

How do I check the size of springs I have got? Need some new ones now.

Cheeky shot of the Bruvlines :P

Seen many people drive with snapped springs.

No different to driving on cut springs...

Compared to what?

Mine is proper low but still drives well and gets me there despite only being a 1.8. It's done me proud in 11 months of driving, never let me down 8)

Snapped rear coil springs are common on E36's
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

They are quite rusty but still never expected the snappage.

How do I find out what mm my springs are, think they are 80mm?

Check the coloured dashes on them. I have 2 on the shelf from an e36 convertible that are ok. Just let me know what the colou of the dashes of paint are and I'll cross reference witht e pair I have.
