Hi,

Anyone know if BMW sell the arch lip and arch repair panel?

Everything I have bought has been Genuine BMW so would appreciate if someone could give me the part number.

Many thanks!

You will probably be able to get the entire rear quarter panel from BMW,but be seated when you ask for a quote.

Think it's Hadrian Panels who supply the rear arch repair panel,do make sure you order a matching pair if you are doing both sides!

So does that mean BMW don't supply the arch panel/lip I don't need a entire quarter plus it will mean a whole lot of work...

Anyone recommend a place where I can obtain a high quality repair panel?

The arch lip is bubbly here is a picture below of the worst bit can this be ground back and rescued? Or would a repair panel be needed?

Many thanks!

that's probably mild enough you could do a decent 'temporary' repair which would last several years before getting scabby again.

like all rust though, you really won't know unless you start digging deeper.

99% of arch rot starts in the gap between inner and outer and creeps around the surface, if that's happened the arch will still be rotting from the inside out even if you remove all the stuff that's on the outside at the moment.

there's a good chance that could be saved with just a new metal strip cut, shaped and welded on the return lip once the old once is removed and any corrosion on the inner panel sorted out.
cheers,

harry
