Hi guys, after some knowledge...

I've got an M40 that will be running a single carb and I'd like to get shot of the dizzy cap and rotor.
It's for a short oval racer, so fuel economy etc isn't an issue, I just need a spark at the right time (all 4 plugs can spark rather than one at a time if its easier).

I'm not sure what would be needed, but I'm thinking a trigger wheel, a sensor, a coil pack and something to control it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction 8)

Cheers

Would it be easier to convert to m42 gear ? Don't know if its possible someone may confirm this or an m42 engine swap ?

Engine swap is a no go, thanks to a rule change - the reason I'm changing from M10 to M40 :(

I did wonder about using an M42 ECU, coil pack etc etc, but I'm not sure which would be easier - needs to be as simple as possible really, just something to tell the plugs to spark at the right moment.
