that's exactly what I did, after giving it a bit of thought I rang the locksmith, who by the way had been called by the garage when the issue arised, and he came home to fix it.
Now, half of the key was in the ignition swith, and the locksmith tried and tried to get the key off without success. I rang the garage, spoke to the manager, and he is going to talk to the locksmith about costs by the look of it...
Anyway, I do believe also that they have to pay the costs, so I am going to do my best in chasing them to pay the new lock. They snapped the key while in their possesion and its not mine to pay, so will see what happens tomorrow...
And yes, they do have an insurance to cover this, and they denied it when I asked : what a bunch of liars.
I am trying to keep it positive at the mo, me and a couple of mates have worked hard to keep my baby on the road and finally I can enjoy it - as soon as I can swich it on !
I hope this helps other drivers too, if they are in the same situation.
