As title says really

Has anyone tried some LED bulbs instead of the original type in thier heater panel and instrument panel/clocks etc??, It would be nice to see what they look like if anyone has a picture if it is possible as my car is apart i was thinking of replacing all of the bulbs anyway and led's are quite cheap nowadays.

Cheers

I did try some in the OBC, but the snag is they don't dim with the dashboard light dimmer - they need to be pulsed on and off rapidly if you want to adjust the brightness.

Sanchez has done it, he never mentioned the dimming issue.

They don't dim, the light is too directional to couple to the fibre optic light guides properly, and the life of a 'quality' correct bulb is such as to make the exercise almost pointless.

I did as Brian said, Bought the correct type bulbs and decided to get decent Osram ones.

Ive done it and the LED's are in a good position to give good light. They dim a little but ive never seen a OBC working on non LED bulbs and and happy with my results.
