Ey up,
Above 50mph the steering on my cab very quite vague and the steering wheel shifts from left to right, like it has a mind of its own. You can turn the wheel 2 inches in each direction with no effect, but its good at low speed.!

The wheels are balanced and the tracking is good. Which failed bushes might cause this sloppy feeling at speed? The only part of the cars suspension I haven't looked at are the front bushes, this is why I'm guessing its those.

What you think guys?

Sorry, I don't have a suggestion about the cause, but I would not be driving the car if "You can turn the wheel 2 inches in each direction with no effect".

Ok 2 inches is an over statement, I can wiggle the wheel in each direction with no effect, but only over 50mph.

Going around at 0-40 mph the steering seems fine.!

I'm guessing from experience its the control arm bushes..

could be top mounts, maybe outer ball joints? I was thinking guibo bush, but at parking speeds it should also be noticeable.. Do you get judder at all, either on the straight or under breaking?

Well judder under braking usually indicates a worn control arm bush.. so I'm going to have a wheel balance and geometry check tomorrow. Will report back.!

Ok, so went to have my wheel balance checked, and the wheel weights on 1 front wheel had flown off. Whats the chance of that? This happened to anyone before?

They're all re balanced and steering now seems great.! Cheers guys.
