Can surface rust on the M42 camshafts be cleaned off without any issue?
I have the chance to buy an M42 head, but the exposed cam lobes have started to rust...

If you can send it to autosprint near Birmingham & get them to regrind it.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

thats a bit far from here... i'm thinking since the tappets are hydraulic, they should be able to compensate for say 10 thou when the surface rust is removed
