anyone tried autoglym ultra deep shine?

Anyone tried autoglym ultra deep shine, was recommended it, apparently its good for dark colour cars and makes scratches less visible.

Nope mine is straight colour, yours is clear coat which is harder, the Ultra Deep Shine does not cut as much as the SRP

That'll work, even better if used with a Dual Action (polishing machine).

i didnt like ultra deep shine much took a load of effort and results were no better than super resin polish which is about 10 times easier to use.

I found it the same.

I tried it on my E46 and wasn't impressed, as said use SRP and finish it with a coat of the HD wax.

UDS and SRP both contain fillers, you are far better off using a straight polish, far far better result, you will remove imperfections, not mask them.

Using Polish with a rotary gives fantastic results. I run a valeting and detailing company and have SRP and UDS in my bag as a familiar name for customers but hardly ever use it, 3M is fantastic and Meguirs M105 and M205 are a good combo.

utter pap- the original autoglym red polish is ten times better

Ultra deep shine is harder to apply and remove but on certain colours can give a better shine. I did Sarah's boxster with it and it looked fantastic. SRP is very good and I love autoglym products as a whole but lets face it SRP masks issues in the paint that shouldn't be there. The swirls are still there but they're just covered up with SRP which doesn't last that long. I'd be going for 2 double hard goes with SRP then extra gloss protection which I'd leave on for a couple of hours.

that extra gloss protection is brilliant, easy to apply and buff off, and f**k me it lasts and loooks great, i was very suprised and pleased

matt- has it been clay barred ? really you want to clay, paint renovator (removes swirls etc) then super resin polish, then extra gloss protection

should give good results

or, look up a local detailer with machine etc, might cost a ton but will look immense

farclia i used, also use g3 on scratches ,have a read of this and look at the pics, this is only as a novice aswell , there may be better products/ways, but for someone whos never done it before, and a few quid in halfords, a bit of love desire and elbow grease, the results were amazing, if your car looks nice bu youve never done anything like this, its well well worth doing, but of course unless its garaged its not worth doing until say march/april after the winters on its way out

took me 2 days or so by hand, panel by panel with the full process (so you dont have to leave anything overnight etc between stages) , the results were spectacular, i cant really convey the difference, it was already "nice" and looked afer, but after doing this it looked spectacular, the clarity of the paint was impressive, you can see in the pics how clear and nice, well well worth the effort,i took it to a zone meet just after i finished, and people were all over it !!!

another top tip of mine, buy a tin of the touch up paint with laquer from paints4u.com , £10 odd , comes ready to roll with a brush

go over the whole cars edges and nooks- ie all the door shuts,hinges, door/tailgate/bonnet edges where you get lots of chips, around edges of the door cars, under the boot/bonnet , any and everywhere there is paint thats not external panel, like your rolf harris- just paint in all the chips and scuffs, tool marks etc, not only will it look much nicer, but also prevent anyrust forming

leave it 2/3 weeks, then go back around it, with some g3, and blend them in !!! dont do it any sooner or they come out, gotta really harden and cure 1st

also, thats a brilliant home way to fix external scratches, had a fairly big scratch on a rear quater that was done somehow, didnt go to metal but was not a polish out, i filled a line of paint in, it looked shite up close as you can imagine like it had been touch up bodged, as it had, but left it 2 weeks then g3`d it, and it was amazing , looked brand new like nothing was ever there !
