Hiya, I know this has been addressed in part elsewhere but I need a bit more detailed info re installing replacement e30 steering wh.

1. Which way round is the hex brass bit (horn connector?) on the little spring meant to go and how do you stop the brass bit pinging off before you fit the wheel? Or might the little spring be too long on mine?

2. Do I need to worry about the position of the white nylon tab that sits to the left of mounting centre? It naturally sits sprung up, do I need to pull it down, or just leave it?

Any related advice / photos much appreciated.

Sounds like this might be damaged. The carbon brush or any brass bits shouldn't be loose.

No alignment needed. Just push the wheel on, with the wheels straight ahead, fit the washer and nut, and tighten the nut.
