The ariel on my cars been replaced with a non electric one at some point but this is now broke so wanted an electric one as the wires are already there. Anyone know if this one would be ok? http://www.motocare.co.uk/virtuemart/el ... unt-aerial

Looks like it will be okay, I replaced my knackered one with a beru one But they seem to be difficult to get hold of now, the brackets to fit them are usually easy to adjust and fitting is pretty easy so long as all the wiring is there.

I got my electric ariel from maplin of all places (oh the shame).

works fine though and was only £25

but i do like the spec of that motocare ariel

- Fully Automatic
- Powerful 8 Pole Motor
- Rock & Pinion Drive
- Watertight construction To restrict water seepage
- Five Section Replaceable mast set
- Extends to 39"

Rock and Pinion drive! sounds awsome!!!! lets rock

I just fitted one from "that online auction site" . £18.00 ..ish. Same as the one on the link.
Powers straight off my old Blaupunkt Blue spot feed -no relay needed. Goes up and down and receives a radio signal. What more do you want for £18.00 !!
